CLC Library Circulation Information

Request Items Currently Available

During Fall semester 2020 we are pulling requests multiple times a day. Items will generally be available more quickly than within 24 hours. Log in to your account to check the status of items or, give us a call.

Requests for items currently available at the library will be fulfilled within 24 hours and available for pickup at the library selected for pickup. If you are requesting an item for delivery from another campus (e.g., from Lakeshore to Grayslake), please allow 3 days.

  1. Click "Request It" from the item's record
  2. Enter your name and CLC ID number
  3. Select Pickup location
  4. Submit your request

Request Checked Out Items

Place a hold on an item:

  1. Click "Request It" from the item's record
  2. Enter your name and CLC ID number
  3. Select Pickup location
  4. Submit your request

A hold prevents the current borrower from renewing the item. Materials should be available to you within 2 weeks. You will receive a call from the the library when the item is ready to be picked up.
