Library Building Closures

All CLC Library buildings are currently closed. We currently anticipate a re-opening date in August. Librarian services are available online during all open hours. Let us know how we can help!

Available Library Services

Returning Materials

Items checked out during Spring 2020 are due June 1. Contact us via chat if you need your due dates extended.


  • Return to bookdrop in Sunpivot Circle (main campus entrance) at Grayslake Campus
    • Items will be cleared from your account the Friday following their return
  • We are currently unable to accept returns at Lakeshore or Southlake campuses.

Technology (Laptops/Hot Spots/Etc)

  • Technology loaned to you by CLC may be returned 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Place your technology equipment in a bag with your name (legible) on the outside of the bag.  It is also recommended that you place a sticky note with your name on the equipment in the bag.
  • Be sure to include power adapters, cables and cases provided with your technology equipment.
  • Go to the E Building at the Grayslake campus, door E1 B, and use the red CLC Police call box to notify the police that you are returning student technology.  
  • The police will unlock the door.
  • Enter the building and carefully deposit the bag with your materials in the large bin labeled “Student Technology”.
