With this type of speech, I typically like to start with a resource that can help me define what it is. Gale eBooks - really great resource because it has TONS of eBooks about different topics - especially reference type books (and that just means a book that gives you comprehensive facts, history, etc)
Next, I like to consult a resource called the sourcebook - really great reference books that define different diseases/conditions/medical topics and breaks down what it is, how/why you get it, how it is treated etc...
